The Renovation
Family Time and Community Engagement
The Bruce Museum’s popular in-house family programs will expand exponentially. Spaces for hands-on learning will triple in size. Two new education workshops will showcase interactive activities in art and science, offering families and students memorable ways to explore provocative themes presented in the New Bruce.
The lecture hall, lobby areas, and galleries will enable members and visitors to engage with visual culture and the natural world during special events, through film series, “lunch and learn” sessions, conversations with thought-leaders in art and science, and many more opportunities to connect. The entire ground floor will be open to the community, with the meeting spaces available for private gatherings as well.
Guests can shop at the greatly expanded Museum Store and sip and savor in the new restaurant, enjoying chef-inspired creations and refreshing drinks. Share a sandwich with a friend at one of the 40 tables overlooking our newly acquired Keith Haring sculpture, or relax and reflect with a glass of wine inside.
